I don't know why they'd want to teach about a movie, but they SHOULD teach about the murderous theft of land and oil from the native tribes because that's a very real and necessarily uncomfortable truth. And when you don't teach truth, you only spread worthless dirty ignorance all around.

They're talking about including the book in the curriculum, not kids writing about the film based on the book
