I think those posts are fun and interesting. There you can talk about current topics that might not quite be worthy of its own post.

Those threads are automatically created by the bot every morning (UTC).

Maybe one downside is that those Daily Discussion posts might fill up the page quite a lot, since a new post is posted each day.
