Trying both Lemmy and Kbin at the same time and have set up test groups on both.

So, in general, I think I like the Kbin interface a slight bit more, but both, especially Kbin, could use better access to your subscribe magazines, I miss Reddit's drop down list, but at the very least, Kbin needs to make subscriptions easier to access rather than hiding it in a menu.

Now, to the testing. So far we've only done images, and Kbin is a lot better than Lemmy. I haven't been able to get Lemmy to do inline images, but here? Hardest thing was figuring out what code it parses as IMGBB offers BBCode and HTML. Not only does the HTML work perfectly, thumbnails work, clicking takes you to the full sized image. Doesn't open in a new tab, but that's minor.

Why is this a big deal? I'm thinking of replacing my Mastodon instance with Kbin or Lemmy, and maybe even replacing my Friendica, and inline images are important for that. Give me a feed reader, an Android app and an easy sharing option, and Kbin will be perfect, though it is decent already.

Oh, and speaking of the test magazine, if'n y'all want to try any posting options, feel free to use it.

I'm not sure on that one. I know that Kiwi does, maybe firefox? I don't think any chromium based browsers do. You have to have a script handler extension (tampermonkey is the one I'm familiar with.)
