It seems that for at most the past 2 days the federation is partially broken.

Comments, posts, votes and DMs load from other instances, but not the other way around.

Additionally, less than a month ago SDF has sent out e-mails re-assuring that they're in Lemmy for the long run.

We want to assure you that lemmy.sdf.org as well as our regional instances are in for the long haul. SDF.ORG is celebrating 36 years as a non-commercial community resource this year.
