why does everyone call it the israel hamas war when the PFLP and DFLP and PLF etc are fighting as well? (hexbear.net)

Title. it makes no sense, but i assume it's a subtle way to paint the war as a religion thing as Hamas is islamic to distract the focus from colonialism and apartheid.

The PLF and PFLP are part of the PLO which controls the west bank. Hamas controls Gaza

The PFLP has boycotted the PLO for almost a decade, does operate in Gaza, and is participating in the current hostilities.
