it does say that, but i read somewhere else that it was the 150th anniversary. a cursory google says dutch rail transport "started" in 1839, which would make 150 correct, and i can't see anything significant that happened in 1889 — i wonder if anyone who knows more could shed some light in that?
it's such a cool logo though, i think it's on par with the old br logo (and the colours remind me of the old 125s)
