of course its free, until it gets adopted enough and thrn it will cost. same with openai etc

Why would they charge for it? If you build an app with it and want to charge for it, they will take 30% of whatever you make.

because they can and people are happy to pay. no other reason needed for big corp.

Why would they charge for it? Because it's apple and charging people to use things is their bread and butter.
