I think I'm good with all the tik tok grade redditors staying off of here. If they want to roll around in spez's ad laden shit puddle, then let them.
I hate to talk shit about any community but r/2007scape has went massively downhill, it may just be a reddit thing and I'm also getting older so I have less patience for trolls and users I wish were trolling. Just seems like its impossible to have any normal conversation, it's always constant trolling, rude comments, personal attacks, etc... I know every online social medium gives people that power to be a dick anonymously but it's pretty frustrating to not be able to have normal discussion without heated exchanges.
I noticed a lot of the time when someone posts that they finished a ridiculously long grind, half the comments are calling them mentally ill. It doesn't matter to them that people have had a decade to grind, or that some people really are just happy with spending a large part of their lives playing this game.
Exactly and too each, their own. I mean a lot of the time when I see absolutely crazy grinds (like 200m one skill at a time) I definitely question someone's lifestyle and mental health but it's an internal thought that I don't feel the need or desire to discuss with random people who play the same time sink and I don't want to risk needlessly offending someone or bringing someone down. Again it may be an age thing but I have become much more of a lurker than a poster and commenter because it's all extremes and no middle ground for discussion or general decency.
