By rational people, yes, but the internet (and sadly the world at large) is full of people who choose to be irrational. Just looks at the politics in most countries, tons of populist rhetoric. Even in places where they don't gain measurable power, they still garner enough to be noticeable.

I don't think satire is necessarily a bad thing... but shit like these are far too easy to unintentionally mislead. Especially in the context poor corners of the internet that they'll inevitably be shared to.
