2023 Owl of the Year Recap

For the data nerds, I've compiled some quick stats on the tournament. Title pic is raw data. I'll post the filtered data in comments.
If there's anything I don't go over you're curious in, let me know. I don't have any stats from Lemmy, so I can't do things like popular times or anything too specific like that,
Nah, holiday schedule just has me out of whack. I fell asleep at 5pm yesterday and woke up at 5 am even though I have off today, so I figured I may as well do it while I was up already.
People really got passionate about it in the second round. After the weak reception to the announcement and the first day of voting I was worried, but it picked up momentum and held it.
It was hectic, but now I've got an app that does drafts, so I can get much more done ahead for next time and maybe we'll have actual polling next year too. I look forward to it as well.
Polling would definitely be nice to have!
I didn't feel there was necessarily any pressure to vote based on who was already winning or losing, probably because there's nothing really at stake, but it would be nice to rule it out.
