I didn't read many of them, but my brother had like forty of them. I remember reading one where a kid gets impregnated by aliens and lays and egg at the end of one, lol.

I totally remember that one! It was absolutely Goosebumps. Solid shout-out to Are You Afraid of the Dark, though. Between the two shows, I think Are You Afraid of the Dark was the better one...
