I like my e-bike a lot, but cleaning the gears and keeping them calibrated can be a PITA. The wheel hub motor is nice because my chain just keeps on giving even after 2300 miles, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an internal gear hub combined with a a wheel hub electric motor.

The priority current ebike has a mid-drive belt drive with an internal gear rear hub shifter -> https://www.prioritybicycles.com/products/current

Not sure this is what you are looking for, but I have one and I love it. The belt drive does not wear out like a chain.

Totally forgot that belt drives were a thing honestly lol but that sounds pretty sick! I have heard that belt drives are not quite as efficient as chains at delivering power which can be important if you’re low on battery or something. Is there a noticeable difference for you between the effort you give on a belt drive vs a chain drive?

Yeah if you run out of battery it kind of sucks, but it will still get you home. Unlike a broken chain.
