I was super excited about it but, now that I missed out on the first batch (yes I would have paid the $500), I'm not sure I'm going to buy it unless I can see there's a good community around it. The official forum is kind of dull. I don't have Facebook which, based on what 8-bit Guy has said, is the most active place for discussion, so I don't know how the vibe is over there.

I'm not interested in programming for it myself so the way I see it, its desirability very much depends on network effects and whether it gets a big enough user base and software library. I think there is a good chance of that happening but I keep seeing new projects muscling in on the same space like the Foenix computers and the Agon which makes it less likely that any one of them will be a thriving 'platform'.

Yeah. Same. I'm not a coder. I just thought it would be a fun machine to play around with.
