You know, this makes me especially wonder if flies and other flying insects make it to remote islands without human (accidental) aid. Theoretically they can hitch a ride on birds, most likely we eggs, but I wouldn't know how commonly that would happen. I can't imagine they'd be able to make the trip themselves, or have any incentive to do it.
