Is he that the author? I tend to like longer series of books, most of what i read in light novel form have ten+ books. But most of them are a little under the first harry potter book's word count.
Yes he's one of the most prolific modern writers. Has his own youtube channel too where he recently put a video of what book of his you might want to try if youre reading his books for the first time. You'll definetely find smth you like there.

You'll love the Stormlight Archives then. It's very anime. Crazy magic powers and giant super swords. Most of the fandom thinks the best way to do a TV adaptation would be to animate it
