Gordon Ramsay made a show about teaching prisoners how to cook so they have a skill for when they get out. He’s one of the good ones!

eh his character is very hostile and abusive to workers & he kinda spawned a subgenre of "cooking show" that amounts to harrassing min wage workers for a tv audience's amusement

idk how staged his show was or what his off-camera behaviors like so i wont necessarily blame him specifically but he occupies a kind of toxic space in the public consciousness

Didn't it originally start with him harassing restaurant owners? Then all the American shows that followed were of course aimed at harassing the staff in a highly competitive environment
