Hey ham heads - Was/is anyone using SMSGTE with APRS? It appears the service is currently down due to regulatory issues. If so, is anyone aware of an APRS to phone SMS gateway alternative?

There is a new SMS on APRS, but all numbers you send to through APRS must be entered in an "opt-in" online first. See http://theconnectdesk.com/SMS/
