Most importantly the referendums were in favor of remaining with the UK.
If you fill a land with settlers, the settlers will spoke in favour of their masters.
That is undoubtedly true. But at some point it becomes ridiculous to mourn a territory when most people were born there. There has never been a large Argentine population either.
It's hard for that to happen when moving there basically requires the same requisites and moving to Europe. As the bare minimum it should be an independent State and a member of the MercoSur, where you can basically move there crossing the border with your ID and that's it, and we can later see in a couple of years what happens with that island.
