DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar is definitely catching my interest more each time I listen. plus, the story behind DAMN. along with the idea/concept that is the collector's edition is so interesting. i think it's safe to say i am obsessed with this album right now

also, i am still obsessed with Across the Spiderverse right now and the soundtrack for that movie is so fantastic, so i'll continue my obsession with that album for at least a few more weeks

Last week I was obsessing over Iron Maiden. This week it’s been Megadeth. Rust In Peace is an amazing record.

I was also introduced to Rigor Mortis this week. Their self titled. Maybe some of you have heard of Rigor Mortis, maybe not. I had not heard them before until just the other day.

There’s really not a lot to say about this album other than it is pretty much the distillation of thrash in its purest form. Non stop skank beats, yelled vocals and hyper speed riffs - what more do you need? If you like Slayer or Razor, this is probably for you too.

Generally not a huge pop fan but I'm a big fan of Carly Rae Jepsen. Emotion is one of the best pop albums of the last 30 years, however I've liked her last two albums progressively less and less, which was a worrying trend.

However her new album out this Friday is FANTASTIC. It has her most forward thinking and experimental production she's ever had, and every song is growing on me a ton. It's definitely her best since Emotion and I'm a huge fan of it. I think I'm at 4 listens now and I'm trying to hold off until Friday when it officially releases to listen again.

I've been really enjoying the new Blur record, The Ballad of Darren. Though the name of it, plus the lead single being called The Narcissist made me feel like I was being victimised for being firmly Team Oasis back in 1995.

Finally getting into Kobaryo on my journey into hardcore techno. Gonna be banging my head to them this week.

Dirt Miller has been getting a lot of attention on my Spotify.

I've been listening to Jann Arden recently. My goodness this woman can write some brilliant music. Absolutely a masterclass in emotion.
