What level of involvement it's expected/wanted?
This is important because, for western Europe, 2 pm PST is 11pm in Spain, France and Germany which is pretty late.
Usually there are some (recorded) talks you can interact with via COM, but aside from that the main objective is to have fun learning the OS; there are challenges that get posted throughout the bootcamp to earn points. No hard deadlines except for when challenges get graded to update the scoreboard :]
OK thank you for making this clearer! I hope I will be able to participate :) Maybe the form of this boot camp could be put on the webpage for clarity?
I am ready to go! Let's do this. 🐰
Brilliant! I'm in. I tried poking around with Inferno years ago but had too much going on to really dig in.
I tried to sign up but haven’t received a confirmation email. Has anyone successfully created the account?
You've signed up for a VPS account to do the bootcamp there, or an account on 9p.sdf.org directly?
I'm not an admin but I've been a 9p user for a few years so I might be able to find your account
I’ve signed up only for the boot camp registration and the preferred login would be ytong. Appreciate your help.
I signed up yesterday and the email was in my Spam folder
Thanks but I have checked the spam folder, I will wait for some time. Otherwise i can use another email to register for a new account.
Do you have an @sdf.org email? If not I'd suggest signing up and asking in COM or emailing membership
You should be looking for an email from Glenda with your initial password, if it didn't arrive you should be able to safely run the sign up script again
I want to register, but I don't know what it means 'Preferred Login' in the registration page.
It's asking you what your preferred login is. So just typing hai2u as your preferred login. If it's not available, they will give you a login that is not preferred.
