I'm in one of the Orange zone areas of Eastern PA, it is really something to see. I've never experienced that strong of a smell and thick haze, especially from something so far away. I wasn't up on the news, and was very concerned when I stepped outside yesterday and saw the conditions since our area was under a fire watch due to high temps and low humidity. My immediate thought was that something close was burning.
I flew from the mid-west to the east cost yesterday, and it was insane at the scale of the wildfire smoke.
I was surprised to see the smogginess in DC last night. It's gotten even worse today.
From the satellite images it looks like they're seeing the smoke as far south as North Carolina.
Boston was hazy AF on Tuesday.
It just permanently smells like camp fire in Toronto now.
