I love this, but I'm worried at how corners of the fandom have become private investigators trying to find out more about the guy. I hope that fizzles out because this is such a charming and earnest thing to share about, the whole odd setups thing going on has been a blast.

Apparently it's some Costco box he picked up several years ago and it's his best solution to keep his microphone in the correct position and to dampen the vibrations. To be fair, his videos sound pretty good!

Makes me wonder what Grian's voice would sound like if he went the mic-in-tissue-box route instead of bulk-purchasing dozens of ten-year-old headsets to avoid change.
