I loved the first season because I'm a huge fan of Pratchett and Gaiman, so was a little nervous that the next series, with no source material to adapt wouldn't hit the mark. But then I saw that Neil had asked John Finnemore to help him write it, and that sealed it for me. No one could replace Terry, but John Finnemore comes damn close.

Anyway, season 2 is wonderful, with some beautiful little references to Pratchett's Discworld. Also, I'd gladly watch Sheen and Tennant together in anything.

Just watched the first episode and am struck by how better much Michael Sheen would have been as Bilbo in The Hobbit trilogy.

I love Michael Sheen in anything. Have you seen Staged?

Not yet. No spoilers please!

WHAT. I frickin' LOVED this show and assumed it was cancelled, no idea S02 was written, let alone out!

Had a really shitty week but this has put a smile on my face :)

I binged it over the weekend, and I had seen episode 6 more than once. I considered myself one of those casual viewers who watched the first season of Good Omens for Tennant and Sheen. And now, I am desperate to talk to people about it without spoiling it for others who had not seen it.

Where can I find a support group for Good Omens 2?

In this thread, I guess 😊

We're all Team Shennant in here.

I binged it yesterday. It was great. Jim is the best new character of the season.

We binged it too and loved it. If they don’t get a third season I’ll riot.

It's been so long, I even forgot what it was about in the first season.

Oh wow, can't wait to binge. Thanks for letting me know how I'm spending my Saturday night (I'm so cool).

Its good and I especially like the job part but honestly. Its just pretty good. I feel like everything is so crappy nowadays that something that is not a disaster is taken as decent and if something is alright its considered pretty good and if its pretty good its like omg this is so awesome.

I was deeply disappointed by it, and found it clumsy, slow, heavy-handed, and contradicts some parts of the original.

Guess I’m just jaded and grumpy…

Which parts contradict the original?

Just finished it, it was wonderful.

10/10.

I’m so glad to hear this. I haven’t started watching series 2 yet but am really looking forward to it.

Just finished S2 and really enjoyed it. A bit sad that I wasn’t able to resist and watched it all in just a few days.

Maybe I’ll go back and rewatch the first series
