Can this bikepacking community not keep out the bike tourers? I understand it’s cool to be doing it in the backcountry, but even though I’m traveling down roads, I still camp on the wild. On Reddit there was gatekeeping earring the term, if you were touring it didn’t cut it for them sometimes.

I do both, canping in the wild and using the commodity of a hotel room, when I feel like i need it.

I prefer camping myself, but if the need for a shower strikes (or an emergency), I could pe persuaded to book a hotel room.

Not that into credit card touring (read: "poor"), but I can see the ultralight appeal.
