Yesterday at the grocery store, someone keyed my new car. It’s not like I could have done anything to annoy someone, since there wasn’t anyone parking in the next spot when I pulled in, and I was almost perfectly centered in my spot

I just got the car in November, and it’s that really nice new navy blue. Looks fantastic. And now it’s keyed. I hope it was at least an acciden somehow, because I’ve read too many articles online about people just wanting to see the world burn

For anyone else who had to have the paint touched up, can I take it to a normal body shop? Or does it need something special? Where would I look?

Call the cops and look into pulling the video off the cars cameras.

You might be able to find who did it if they were dumb enough to get a license plate caught on camera

Also, check with your car insurance, you might have coverage for things like this. They'd be able to set up paint repair for you depending on your coverage and company.

Video never current me, since I never had but before!

…. But apparently didn’t have sentry mode on. Now that’s it’s in, I can see live camera but don’t see a way to look at history. Am I out of luck?

Don't you have them on video now. Certainly post it somewhere. Maybe get the police involved.
