Who needs weapons? Certainly not today's class, the monk! The way of the fist is enough for them to take down a god, and no matter what stance they're in, they're always up for a fight! Just please don't let the enemy stand too far away...

I just realized monk ROF/ROW are now getting new ranged GCDs (right?) Basically mudras except fewer of them so it doesn't feel like cheating. That's kinda huge, it feels like it will give just enough leeway for a good melee to keep uptime, and we all know how much the fight designers like to put big mechanics and movement/downtime during burst windows. Monk will probably be my 3rd job to level and gear up after samurai and dark knight
This is true! They're level 96 for Wind's Reply (ROW) and level 100 for Fire's Reply (ROF), so while you won't have an always accessible ranged attack, in later DT content you'll at least have some options to attack at range now. Instant casts with a 2s cooldown.
