Only Sony is ending production of the BDR. Other companies are still producing them.

I don’t think I’ve burned a DVD in 15 years. Sick of hunting for disks to swap.

If it’s worth keeping, it lives on a RAID.

If it's worth keeping, it lives on a RAID drive and a cloud backup*

3-2-1. Three copies in two different storage types, one of which is off site.

Although Sony killed it doesn't mean there no other similar product from other companies
I'm sure Sony has reason why they killed it maybe because low selling point since everyone has some flashdrive/HDD to save data or because many movies are already available internet

A lot write here other will still produce them, that's right. But with sony missing this product section will lose a lot in the research sectiin since sony was always try to get disc with higher memory, often as rather cheap backup option for companies. Guess we we reached probably the end here.

Yes you are right..... but that normal for me.... seldom in the mood to correct those....feels so much like work reading mails 100 times... And i don't know every english word good enough. I'm not even gut in my main language.

Don't let that guy bum you out. You are doing great and I and everyone else including that idiot knew what you mean. He is just one of those guys who gets his willies off talking down to people so he can feel smart.

Spell checkers, part of basically every browser, literally show you any sort of major typo. And if you're struggling to find certain words, there's dictionaries that can translate for you.

Was never really interested to be 100% correct about what I write. But because of you I look how it work on Firefox. I need to install an Add-on for every language. Ahhh not really in the mood to use it but i give it a go since you kindly point it out to me. Seem it corrected already a word for me, didn't know interested is written like that. But that won't change that i sometimes just don't care.

Well, don't be surprised if people don't care about what you have to say then either.

[-] tamlyn@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

That's fine, i'm just a random Person.

[-] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 0 points 1 month ago

Everyone's a random person.

Damn. Way to come off rude. I also saw the way they were typing and the first thing that came to mind was that English isn't their native language. I can still understand the message they are conveying.

Sorry you were berated for "typos".

Come on dark thoughts, you can do better. Like it or not, we are all on this world together, and it costs $0 to be a decent person.

[-] qed123@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

thank you for saying it

[-] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago

Rude is not giving enough respect towards other people by not caring if you're writing in a coherent and understandable way.

Also, kudos for the thin veiled insult while trying to look like you're sitting on the moral high horse here. Really sells your argument about decency.
