This seems like the obvious conclusion of where things have been heading. There has been cognitive dissonance in conservative Christians for a long time now. I think that, as polarization continues, it is inevitable that people will decide that Jesus is "too woke" rather than live with the dissonance.

I wonder how long it will take them to recognize that they are no longer Christians if they no longer follow the teachings of Christ.

Considering their skills at cognitive dissonance are maxed out they probably won't and will forever have acrimonious debates with True Christians™ about it.
