I foggily remember that I didn't like it displaying 'Manage bookmarks' when there were no bookmarks. I guess I feel that way because I hadn't had enough sleep.

right click on an empty part of the main toolbar or the tab bar.

select 'customize toolbar'.

put 'bookmark toolbar items' back on the bookmark toolbar.

Anyone got a good external bookmarks app?

I don't really care for "The Browser is an OS" model.

I'm also looking for a Download Manager app. Firefox has notoriously had downloads interrupted and wget is the only way to pull some files down it seems like.

@waltwooton @electricprism @aljustiet yeah, I vote raindrop as well.

I used the free version for a while. Perfectly acceptable.

But recently went the paid route because I like the ability of the app to “snapshot” a copy of the website.
