Sadly, it will likely never stop being relevant. But can we agree that if it ever did, that would be a good thing? Until then, it's a great warning for us all... although too optimistic to see the good guys always win.

All religions die, and culture continues to get more progressive with every new annual batch of tombstones. Time is on the side of equality.

Which is nice for society, but not very useful for oppressed people right now.

"The fire department is on the way."

"Which is nice for society, but not very useful for burning people right now."

I mean, the fire department "being on the way" really doesn't help people who are at the moment burning.

See how dumb it sounds when you write it out? See how obvious it is, so obvious that it doesn't need to be said because no one is saying otherwise?

It was the dawn of the third age of mankind. Ten years after the Earth Minbari war. The Babylon project was dream giving form. It's goal to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call. Home away from home for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanders. Humans and aliens wrap in two million five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal, all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5.
