Oregon DMV hacked and as many as 90% of ID cards and driver's license info leaked to hackers.

Regardless, if companies are going to leave vulnerabilities like this in their software, then there is no reason to seek out a vendor when things are needed. Just hire a damn intern to whip up some half-functioning bullshit and save a ton of money.
