There is also a very large army of publications, the guardian included, that make and keep these people famous for profit (and the added bonus of indoctrinating aspiration, exceptionalism, and the lie of meritocracy in to the general public), who turn a blind eye to or minimise initial reports of sex crimes, and breed an even larger army of "fans" who will end up defending said famous people no matter what (and worse - trusting them to be around potential victims, their kids included "because they're famous!!").

And then another army just as large of legislators and "justices" and others we're told are there to "protect and serve" who instead systemically serve rape culture and the patriarchy by letting these scumbags get away with it much more often than not.

So yeah, the people directly around these rapists are self serving cowards who care more about proximity to fame than other people's safety, but they are far from the only enablers or even promoters of such behaviour.
