Can I be a mod and get ride of KarmaBot since it seems like I am the only one posting? I also think I am not alone in the endeavor so we can get at the least a couple mods going on and make it more active

Ping @Don_Dickle@lemmy.world

Anyone else interested?

Don’t mod requests to abandoned communities go to !support@lemmy.world?

Otherwise, since it seems the only mod here is KarmaBot, assuming that is actually a bot, I don’t think anyone with the power to fix it would see this request.

Well mate I just put it to the correct communitie. I don't want to be the only one to mod this but I am from Reddit. I hate to admit that. But askhistorians were my favorites and I think lemmy.world could use an active member asking questions or keeping the communitie alive.

Don, just make a new community. You'll be the mod.

AskingHistorians might be a good alternative name.
Or maybe AskHistory.

With the rate that you make posts it'll take over the bot controlled comm in no time.

On the other hand, this one has already 643 subscribers

I would suggest waiting a few days for the admins to pick this request up, they are usually quite cooperative for this kind of issues
