This is a place for discussion of any and all video games designed to be played by multiple people: competitive, casual, co-operative, hardcore, tactical, mindless, and chaotic alike.

Single-player games are great and commonly amazing, but social games are an entirely different beast which warrant unique discussion.

Use this space to promote a niche community on Lemmy which you would like to grow, or as a place to learn more about other multiplayer games you might like to get into. Post screenshots, gameplay clips, questions, discussions, patch notes, trailers, etc.

I think this is cool, but at the same time the note from the designers of Helldivers 2 when they were begged for PvP modes rings in my ears: “A game for everyone is a game for no one”

Not every game needs every feature, and I imagine Halo could be an even better game if it focused on improving/expanding on the core elements that make it unique

It really doesn't matter what they do with Infinite at this point because it's a game for the 25 people that still log in. Halo's next installment will be the last if it isn't successful.
