Make sure the old number is not used as a username or MFA device for your online accounts.

This Lemmy community is based on the r/verizon subreddit.

Rules (currently copied from the Verizon subreddit):

  1. It doesn't pertain to Verizon

Posts should be primarily about Verizon and their subsidiaries (Yahoo! AOL, etc). Posts relating to a field of Verizon are also welcomed, but should be kept to a minimum.

  1. Keep Your Cool

Please be respectful & don't be a dick. Being intentionally rude, condescending, or insulting will not be tolerated. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a ban without warning!

  1. Illegal Activities

Discussion about or encouraging use of illegal services on the Verizon network is not allowed. Post will be deleted.

  1. No Mentioning of One's Ethnicity, Language, or Location in Negative Manner

Examples: "This rep cannot speak English." "I spoke to someone in India."

Do not make assumptions about where an agent is that you spoke with nor make comments about ones ability to speak the same language you do.

If you do not understand a rep over the phone or not satisfied with how they are helping. Hang up and try again to speak to someone else.

  1. Soliciting

No solicticing of any kind will be allowed in the sub.
