You know it's funny, even though he obviously can't play, and he knows that he can't play, he's going for it anyway and I can't help but feel that he actually has a decent ear for the song in a few parts. It's like he knows what he wants to sound like, but hasn't put in the hundreds of hours of practice to build the muscle memory to actually do it. I can kind of relate, as I've recently gotten into actual drumming after years of just drumming on my lap, steering wheel, etc, and I'm definitely at that stage where I'm just working on getting my fingers caught up to my head
The concept of this album is genuinely hilarious and the execution is a testament to the other musicians he hired
That said one listen was enough for me
If they actually played single notes instead of mashing the keys, and hit them on-time with the beat instead of randomly, they might actually pull it off.
