Micro USB is still a thing?

I have a couple of older gadgets that are still in regular use, but new ones are exclusively USBC nowadays

Okay but would you buy a new cable for them? I have 10 or so.

Probably to be able to charge them simultaneously from one charger?

Also, they're convenient for traveling. We have one that is USBC on both ends, but have those attached flip connectors: micro on one end, lightning on the other. So the cable can charge USBC-USBC, or USBC-lightning, or USBC-micro. We've got another version with micro and A. Since iPhone has switched to C and there are no more lightning devices in the house, I'll probably be to get a second one of those micro/A.

When my wife travels on business, she takes a beefy 100W C source, a C-C cord and one of those adapter things chords. That's sufficient to charge all devices.

You're right: micro may age out one day, but there are still a lot of devices that don't need replacing that use it, and I for one am not going to create more e-waste just to get C-charged versions.
