- How many times should I repeat it in a day? 10? 20?

- What? No. One is enough.

This looks like a really nice workout, though I would not be able to run for 10km

Just started running this year and this last week I did 25 miles including 3 10ks. It feels impossible but if you just stick with it your body adapts so quickly

How old are you? I used to run a lot when I was younger and have always wanted to get back into it but my ankles and knees scream at me for thinking about it these days. To much running on concrete probably. Lots of basketball on concrete as well. I'm only 5'11 but I used to be able to dunk which seems great when your young, but I overlooked how many times I'd be slapping back boards and landing all my weight on them coming down. I probably just need to shed 30lbs from diet and work into jogging after.

I’m 29 so still pretty young. I think if I had waited another decade I might have had to start slower. It sounds like you've been a lot more athletic than I have overall though so I would think you could get back into it.

If you want to start running again I would say start with 100% zone 2 runs until you hit the mileage you want. This builds a strong aerobic base for your overall fitness and lowers your risk of injury while you build up the mileage. It’s going to be be very slow walk/running at first but it pays off and you will get faster. Also think about a pair of flexible zero drop shoes like Altras or Barefoot/minimalist shoes. I use a cheap pair of whitins from amazon. This will strengthen your feet and ankles and give you a more natural gait further decreasing injury risk.

Turns out the big cushy shoes are terrible for you because they cause most people to run on their heels which puts all the impact into your joints.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I'm not to old yet, but Ill be 36 this year so I'm not to spry. Ive heard 30s and 40s are good for endurance though.

It takes so long to get into the shape to fully run the 10k straight. 2 - 5k is a good sweet spot though.
