Unfortunately, I inherited ProofPoint Essentials. What all do you use (and like!). At my last job we used Avanan across the board and I LOVED their setup. Nearly no false positives/negatives.

Currently PPE as well, but I keep hearing people rave about Avanan. PPE seems to be stagnant anymore and they are missing some crazy obvious phishing messages. I may be shopping soon.

Yeah, PPE I don't think does phishing. Their higher tiers do afaik but I rarely ever see anyone comment about using those so can't say how they are.

Last I checked you can set up Avanan (and others that have API setups like theirs) behind PPE with just a few clicks. Might be worth a check. You can also set it to monitor only very easily.

We use ProofPoint but exploring other options. I have heard very good things about Avanan but have never trialed it. We're big Sophos partners as well and they recently revamped their email security service, so we're going to at least give it a go given the integration with their other offerings.
