I'm not butthurt, but I am genuinely curious as to why this post is being downvoted.

Siblinghood of music communities.
I’d assume its because Manson has been shown to be a pretty horrible person with multiple accusations of abuse and imprisonment leveled at him.
I thought the same. And within the context of this post in this community, I almost added this to my post:
Bonus connection: both Clapton and Manson are known to be pretty shitty people. Clapton (racist) and Manson (abuser)
I opted to leave that bit out though in the spirit of the community being a place to share and discover music in a fun way.
Haha, yeah I saw that clapton one and almost gave it a downvote because fuck him. Was intrigued by the one comment with low vote on this post so I checked to see what it said. I didn’t downvote either of them, but those are two people that I can’t separate art from artist from.
I struggle with it too. I can't even listen to Clapton anymore. I sometimes listen to my two favorite Manson songs, because they are bangers, but he is a real piece if shit, and it absolutely taints my enjoyment of the songs.
I'm listening to the podcast "the history of rock in 500 songs." He sais there that plenty of people in rock'n'roll were shit. Half the posts should be downvoted based on that.
Highly recommend the podcast, though.
