I’m sure this won’t be abused by law enforcement nor by politicians to spy on their competitors /s

No, Europe is aggressively pushing for additional backdoors and tracking. The tracking is often disguised as a way to protect children with age verification.

please don't. this is the gateway to having to scan your face and fingerprints to be able to use the internet at all.

Texas recently did something similar and now I cannot access porn or blood&gore websites. I personally think most porn is horrible for the mind and for relationships, but if "authorities" truly cared about kids, they'd be farrrrr harsher on the pervy perps they do catch - those targeting kids, but also any rapist or perv, because so many will choose a minor if that is what is easiest or most accessible even if a minor is not their preference. In some areas, there are over 100 rape kits waiting to be tested, but no money to test them. In some areas, there is also a 15 year maximum time limit on rape, so DNA for a 16 year old rape kit means nothing - cannot be used as proof or as a hint even that Joe Schmuck might have a pattern of rape going back years.
