Just found out about the Kickstarter, thinking of backing it for a jack of all trades flashlight, but I’d like to hear some takes on it :) Any opinion on emitters, lack of UV filter (ZWB something, I can’t remember) and form factor? Quite expensive considering Wurkkos, but packs a lot of features.

I like it as a cool toy to play with but I have a lot of separate lights that already do many of these functions better than a combi tool can.

I also have a dislike of kickstarter type funding, I get how its useful for the runner but bad experiences in the past have really put me off.

Ok this pretty much sets it

I mean there's pros and cons having something like this. Wouldn't be a pocket EDC for me. Probably would bring for longer trips in a bag. If I were getting it though, it most likely after they fulfilled the Kickstarter. Like I'm a seasoned kickstarter backer with 30+ successful items and only 3 unfulfilled. I'm just done gambling like this lol

This is a good point, Wurkkos is an established seller but nothing is granted

They may be an established seller, but from what I read of their TS lines of flashlights launches and later iterations, it's enough to give me pause even if those are dirt cheap.

This HD02 is also comparatively cheap vs other "multitool" flashlights IMO. But still. Wurkkos still have some iffiness.

Anything that "transforms" is gonna get broken, unless it's made of metal.

Even if were machined from billet, that thing will eventually fail when dropped a few times, because those are small hinge points.

Plus I've found the stick style light tube just works better than these directional panels. The old fluorescent tube lights that light a work area are a great design, get one with led and now you have something (I replaced my 20 year old Dewalt work light with an led version). They light your work well but aren't a high-intensity eye fryer when you look directly at it.

Now I just need to find a compact one using 18650's.

Yeah the two folding arms don’t look too good. A dedicated work light as you describe seems a better choice. This “multilight” tries to do too much with very few benefits.

Kinda ridiculous, don't want. At least it doesn't have those silly multi colored lights on the sides though.
