I feel like we've heard this argument so many times over the last 30 for 40 years. But the truth is catchy works. Sticks in the mind longer. And what sticks of the mind is typically believed. It's repeated easier. And what's repeated more is typically believed. There's a reason jingles and catchphrases work. There's a reason I know ad campaign slogans from 30 years ago. To think it doesn't work in politics is Ludacris.

There's a value there, in poisoning their message, diluting the lie by linking the things. Not that it can't go wrong.
