Somebody said 'resistance', and these morons heard 'assistance' and came running. Traitors.

"It is difficult to get anybody to resist something, when their bribes depend on them not resisting it."

Paraphrased from Upton Sinclair.

Smart man, that Sinclair guy...

I think the Dems are banking on taking control again because of the fiasco that is trump, and it makes sense. They're just quietly doing what they do. They're not our friends either, but what the fuck are we supposed to do? It's all rigged.

Vote for people like Bernie, AOC, mamdani, etc... Democratic socialists who are the only threats to billionaires.

Jeffries got his spot because Nancy used the DNC as a mace to make Dems toe the neoliberal line...

They don't have that anymore.

Jeffries and Schumer don't have a chance at retaining their leadership roles

And why couldn't they filibuster this one?

Well they wouldn't since it seems they support it for totally legitimate reasons and they seem to definitely not be traitors to regular people at all

Because this is a vote in the House, not the Senate, and House rules make it virtually impossible to filibuster.

Fair enough. I must have missed that in the headline. You're right, this is in the house.

I'll ask again when the senate passes it, since there is no doubt anymore that democrats just do everything republicans want.
