Yeah, that was my thought as well. Especially the roots that hang in the air are very sensitive to that.
Maybe consider covering it with some linen?
I don't think I have linen lying around, but I have some old shirts and towels. If cover the buckets and wet the textiles, the evaporation might cool down the bucket. What do you think?
Yeah, I also did that. Works great!
So far so good. Recently our weather in central Europe has been pretty moderate. During the next heatwave I'll put the bucket in the shadows under a tree I reckon.
