Romano is still adamant that Man United are not in the picture for him. And Ben Jacobs is backing that up, saying they haven't even made a bid for him and don't intend to. All these rumours about them now being in the driving seat for Gyorkeres are coming from one journo in Portugal. Smells like bullshit to me.

All that said: yes, this whole fiasco is maddening. Really hoping we have a plan B. There's been some recent chatter about Nelson Weiper. Hopefully we go for him or some other striker who is young, talented, and hungry. Even if we end up getting Gyorkeres, we need another out-and-out striker option anyway - someone for the future.
