I've been having pre-carpal tunnel symptoms lately and I really want to switch to a vertical mouse, but I've heard from a lot of people that they just don't have the same sensory quality that you get with a traditional mid-high end gaming mouse. This would be an issue for me since constantly do quick flicks and don't think I can just tollerate an inferior sensor. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing, and if so do you have any good recommendations?

Not sure what the resolution was but I suggest a trackball mouse (something like a Logitech Ergo M575) when you're not gaming. I've had issues with wrist pain and found a combination of switching to lightweight mice, using mobile devices less, and wearing compression gloves really helps. Maybe also take a look at your posture when you're at your desk because it has a big impact

I'm waiting for the Hansker mouse to go into production.
A vertical mouse with a high-DPI, high-polling rate sensor.

Edit: Just realized it's been a while aince this was posted.
Hope you managed to find something fitting.

I gave up and got a Fantech Aria instead. I'll keep an eye on this one!

I used the Evoluent Vertical 4 for 6 or so years, same mouse. Only replaced it because the USB plug broke in a dog related accident and I wanted to try a trackball. It's been two months and I kinda miss the vert mouse.

I'm not CS pro but I found it was good enough for casual play.
