For anyone not readong the atricle, this was requested by Garcia's legal team, since DHS has threatened to have him extrajudicially deported again if he is released.

It's both sad and insane that we have to imprison people to protect them from our own law enforcement.

Put him under home arrest like they do to celebs, giving him some freedom he deserves.

I think one reason they don't is they can't guarantee his safety from the jail to his home.
