Gotta hit up lidl man. Managed to get a loaf of wholemeal for 80p.

[-] AntifaNI@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

I see your 80p Lidl loaf and raise you Marks and Spencer 75p.

Despite their upmarket reputation theyre surprisingly reasonably priced on a lot of staples.

Why are the Nordic countries so high?

Most thefts here are organised by traveling and professional thieves, mainly from South Eastern Europe.

Since we are wealthier and have trust based societies, we’re probably easy prey for them.
Sadly it’s making us change our ways. I grew up never locking the door. These days you’d be hard pressed finding an open door in the southern parts of the country.

Not just third world immigrants. It’s the descendants of illiterate subsistence farmers who were invited to Europe as cheap labor to build homes after the war. Basically a bunch of dumb inbred religiously conservative morons who don’t have the mental capacity to adapt to western society, only because our governments wanted to get the cheapest labor as possible. It’s not like the Indian expat community is committing crimes who are technically also third world immigrants. If the government only invited college educated urbanites we wouldn’t have these problems to the same degree as we have now with these third gen immigrants.

If dumb conservative hillbillies from the Appalachian came over to Europe as cheap labor, so first world immigrants, I bet we would end up with the same problems as well.

Could also be a reporting issue. In some countries, the police won't really do anything about petty theft, so why even bother? I'm pretty sure, Sweden is not less in reality than Albania.

Does it include wage theft? It’s by far the largest kind of theft in monetary terms.

Maps with two different color keys?

That's trash.

[-] FarceMultiplier@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 year ago

It's clearly showing the colours for countries that are outside the mapped area, for comparison.

[-] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Is that what it is?? I thought they just forgot to delete a key from another map that they repurposed.

Weird to include China if it was just going to have no data anyway.

[-] fruitSnackSupreme@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Yea this makes no sense for colorblind people.
