5/10 cause of bugs, woof. Surprising given the game is reviewing well elsewhere
They’re not bugs. They’re badly implemented or missing features. I don’t mention bugs because I haven’t come across any. It’s a stable game. Just clearly an unfinished one.
It’s also just my opinion as someone who has been playing games like this for almost 30 years.
Didn’t realize you were the author! Not surprised the game is missing components, that’s become all too common lately (Halo Infinite really bummed me out at launch). I didn’t mean to come across as criticizing your conclusion, your review is just the first one that I saw and that made me curious to see if that aligned with the general perception or not.
No worries. Criticism is fine.
Racing games have long been my favourite games so I tend to notice issues some people might not see as issues.
On the flip side I tend not to notice issues in games like Call of Duty that people do.
What's your favorite racing game?
I'm a fan of Assetto Corsa for sim-style racing.
Favourite arcade racer is Split/Second and my current go-to racer is ACC but my all time favourite is Gran Turismo 2.
I haven't played a Forza Motorsport game since FM4 and was planning to try this one but I'm not going to bother anymore. From the videos and streams I've watched this past week all my interest has completely disappeared for it.
Same, I’m always hopeful for another good racing game but I’ll even wait a while to install it with Game Pass, if I do.
This reads like a summary of all the nitpicks from the Forza subreddit.
Personally, I’m enjoying it. It scratches the simcade itch in a way that FM7 didn’t.
Never been a fan racing simulators, but I really enjoy this. I don't mind the RPG style of unlocking upgrades for your car. Also no bugs here so far on xsx. Drives better imo than FH5, feels more realistic.
Also first race game where I ever took time to look at upgrades / tuning. Usually I'd download a setup from someone else.
